WATCH: Meat World Alberton customers win Suzuki Swift cars in nationwide competition
Albertsdal’s Noble Mavuso and Thokoza’s Portia Mafate each won a vehicle through the retailer’s Alberton and Verwoerdpark stores, respectively.
Two Alberton-area residents, Noble Mavuso and Portia Mafate, have won Suzuki Swift cars in Meat World’s nationwide Meat Your New Wheels competition.
Mavuso, 42, from Albertsdal, won the vehicle through Meat World Alberton, while Mafate, from Thokoza was the winner through Meat World Verwoerdpark.
The three-month competition allowed customers to win a car by spending R500 at participating Meat World stores.
Winners were randomly selected, with customers encouraged to tune in to Jacaranda FM between 06:00 and 17:00 daily to find out if they had won.
Mafate said she was surprised when she received the news on October 8.
“I received a call on October 8 informing me that I have won a car, and I didn’t believe it; I still can’t believe it. I have never owned a car before; this is my first car,” she said.
Mavuso also expressed his excitement, saying he had not expected to win the competition.
The vehicle handovers took place on October 17.
The competition formed part of a nationwide giveaway aimed at rewarding Meat World customers.
