Royal Schools Alberton learners give back through food drive

Royal Schools Alberton High School collected more than five crates of canned food during a Civvies Day charity drive to help families in need

Royal Schools Alberton High School transformed its Civvies Day on May 15 into a meaningful charity initiative to support families in need in the community.

Instead of paying a monetary fee to participate in Civvies Day, learners were encouraged to donate cans of non-perishable food as part of the school’s charity project for the term.

The initiative received excellent support, with more than five crates of canned food collected.

The donated food will be handed over to charity at the end of the term to assist families and individuals facing hardship.

The project highlighted the learners’ generosity and compassion while underscoring the importance of giving back and supporting the community through small but impactful actions.

Royal Schools Alberton expressed appreciation to all learners and staff members who contributed towards making the initiative a success.
