Big Boss track day
Another huge success with more than 120 different people having the opportunity of having passenger rides and some 40 different cars out on the track.

ON September 7 the team from Big Boss Auto and their partners put on a day at the Midvaal Raceway near Meyerton that will make a lasting mark in the memories of many people.
The shop, based in Alberton North, is known all over the country for different disciplines of motor sport that they are involved in and race at regional and national level in almost anything that has four wheels and races on tar. They also carry the reputation for achieving excellent results with everything that they tackle.
Twice a year they give all their partners, customers, friends and anyone interested and brave enough, the opportunity to come to the race track and have an open day, a day where the race drivers take passengers in their race cars around the track to experience just what it is like to be on a race track. They also take various road cars and give people the experience of a lifetime, to help them understand just how thrilling it can be to be in a car and on track.
On these days private cars are also allowed on track so people can get to drive their own car on track pushing it as hard as they are comfortable with, all the time in a safe environment while experiencing the thrill and speed.
This track was another huge success with more than 120 different people having the opportunity of having passenger rides in various different cars and some 40 different cars out on track. The Renault RS club joined in for the day having a breakfast run down to Midvaal and enjoying a buffet breakfast at the track before doing a Renault Parade lap with some 50 Renaults on track.
Braai’s were filled around lunch time and everybody tucked in before the track was opened for more track time, of which there was plenty during the day. Midvaal is a very accommodating facility when it comes to hosting groups on track and offering a safe environment for testing the capabilities of any car, be it a race car or street car.
Marshals were out on the track for the day to ensure that all drivers were kept aware if there were any incidents, of which fortunately there was none on the day but safety is a priority so that people can get to enjoy the day with peace of mind. If you are interested in getting involved in motor sport then give the guys at Big Boss Auto a call and they can help you in the right direction, or keep an eye on this newspaper for notification as to when their next open day will be held .
