Cobras students upgrade to new belts

Cobras Shotokan Karate Club recently held a club grading.

THE Cobras Shotokan Karate Club recently held a club grading where all students maintained the exceptionally high standard of the dojo and passed to their respective belts.

Students graded to the following levels: Aaliyah Ismail – green belt, Uwais Ismail – green belt, Bokang Sigasa – green belt, Lesego Diphoko – yellow belt, Nathan de Beer – yellow belt, Liana Gouveia – second purple belt, Maddox Marques – yellow belt, Alex Holm – green belt, Kadimo Dhlomo – orange belt, Ryan Hovell-Erasmus – yellow belt and Joshua Wood – first junior brown belt.

The Cobras club trains at Glenview Primary School in Brackenhurst on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Women’s self-defence classes are also offered on Tuesday evenings, 6pm to 7pm.
