Bracken High’s Golden Lions success

Bracken High comes second in Golden Lions Middle School league.

BRACKEN High’s u-15 rugby team took part in the Golden Lions middle schools league during the year and finished second on the log.

The team played against Allen Glen High in the final going down 17-20. This was, however, enough for them to qualify for the Golden Lions regional championship where they drew 10-10 against Hoërskool Zeerust in the match that was played in Zeerust on August 4.

“Bracken High is extremely proud of our u-15 team who played good rugby and demonstrated good sportsmanship throughout the season,” says Graham Dinkelman on behalf of the school.

Three players from the school have been selected to attend the final trials for the Golden Lions Rugby Iqhawe week tournament to be held towards the end of the month. Congratulations to Luthando Zothani, Kamo Mohlala and Ryan Bailey.
