Alberton cyclists took part in the Emperors Palace Road Classic.
Alberton cyclists made waves at the Emperors Palace Road Classic on March 27, where over 3000 cyclists participated in the 12th edition of the race.
Participants had to either ride a 98km or 48km route, which both started just outside the gates of the popular East Rand resort and casino.
One of the Alberton cyclists, Manti Manganye, enthusiastically set off on the 98km route in her new kit sponsored by Emperors Palace.

Alberton’s Kabelo Sello was delighted as he prepared to begin the 98km race also in his new sponsored kit.
Villieria resident Bertie Anderson finished second in the 98km junior men’s race, finishing behind Alberton’s Emile van Niekerk and Masood Sujee.

Alberton residents, sponsored by Panda sportswear, Sunette Hayes, Leigh-Ann Stretch, Bradley James and Quentin Jan, and Robert Reid of Albion Wheelers were all smiles after completing the Emperors Palace Road Classic billed as ‘the race of dreams’.
