Charity walk fundraiser in Meyersfarm

Place of Purpose, Cupcake of Hope, Young at Hearts, Cause4Paws, Amcare, and Alberton Methodist will host a charity walk fundraiser on May 1 on Fore Street in Meyersfarm.

The purpose is to raise funds for the needs of intellectually handicapped individuals, people vulnerable due to poverty, those with HIV/Aids, domestic violence victims, persons of advanced age, and cover the medical needs of those battling cancer and heart defects.

The event will start at 09:00. Adults will pay R50, and children between seven and 12 will pay R20.

Breakfast and refreshments will be on sale.
