Alberton Boxing Club members win recognition medals in April

Coach Gert de Klerk and Andrew Eekhout of the Alberton Boxing Club are proud of their members for winning recognition medals in April.

Alberton Boxing Club members participated in a development tournament held at their centre on April 6.
All the clubs in Gauteng were present to participate.

Three members of the local club won medals: Emmanuel Ntomo (64kg), Karien Els (54kg) and Kiara Kilfoil (64kg).

Els and Kilfoil were on fire and too strong for their opponents, leading the referee to stop them in their first rounds.

The Alberton Boxing Club members participated in a tournament hosted in Springs by the Eagles Boxing Club on April 13.

Ten boxing clubs showed up for the tournament.

Two boxers from the local boxing club won medals in their respective weight divisions.

De-andre van der Merwe won in the 46kg division, and Albert Maritz in the 70kg division.
