Southern Stars Ladies League hits the diamond with passion
The Southern Stars Baseball Club is thrilled to see their new Ladies League take flight.
Launched at the start of the year and having played two games, the Alberton-based team has already captured many hearts with their infectious enthusiasm and dedication to learning the game.
These women come from all walks of life but share a common passion: baseball. While most have families, businesses, full-time jobs or their husbands playing for the club, they haven’t let busy schedules hold them back. Their commitment to their team is inspiring.
Coach OD (Darren Dickinson) leads the charge, and his expertise guides the ladies through baseball’s fundamentals. From fielding, hitting, and pitching to teamwork, coach OD helps them unlock their inner baseball stars.
The best part is that they absolutely love it. The camaraderie, the challenge, and the thrill of competition – it’s all there on the field.

Are you interested in joining this group of women? Do you crave a fun and dynamic workout while learning a new sport? Then, the Southern Stars Ladies League welcomes you.
Practices are on Thursdays from 18:00 to 19:00 and Saturdays from 09:00 to 11:00, while the games are on Sundays.
