Join a fun run or walk at the Alberton Rugby Stadium
There will be a prize money giveaway and medals to all finishers.
The Alberton Athletic Club will host road races and walks on November 10 at the Alberton Rugby Stadium.
The idea is to gather runners from all over Alberton and surrounding areas, for fun physical activity.
Entry fees:
21km – R240 (grandmasters is R180)
10km – R160 (grandmasters is R110)
4km – R50 (fun run)
The 10km distance is open to walkers too, with prize money, a giveaway for all the top finishers in the open category and medals to all finishers.
Runners can expect participants from other areas of the Gauteng province, a pleasant atmosphere, ample parking and a route profile that lends itself to fast times.
There will be an initial bump or two, a challenging but short climb and a downhill sprint to the finish.
Race number collections will take place at the Alberton Rugby Stadium, on Elandsfontein Road, on November 8 from 17:00 to 20:00, November 9 from 09:00 to 14:00, or November 10 at 04:45.
