De Kock was capped twice for the Springboks during their 2001 tour of Europe and the USA. He debuted off the bench against Italy in Genoa and was the starting scrum-half against the USA in Houston, Texas.
De Kock also played in the Currie Cup and Super Rugby, playing provincial rugby.

To share his rugby knowledge, De Kock does rugby development work through Ratel Rugby, a rugby development agency that prepares aspiring rugby players, nurtures their potential and works with schools to grow rugby.
