WATCH: Eden Park rugby team put on a great performance at TRY Tournament

Eden Park’s U15 rugby team delivered an impressive performance at the TRY Tournament, an initiative dedicated to developing and nurturing township rugby.

Facing the Raiders at the University of Johannesburg’s Milo Park fields, both teams started strong with solid defensive tackles during the first quarter.

The Raiders gained early momentum through supportive play and aggressive rucking. However, Eden Park responded with structured attacking phases, creating overlaps and exploiting gaps, leading to a try scored through a quick wing-forward switch.

Eden Park’s forwards maintained pressure, consistently drawing fouls and gaining valuable territory. The Raiders fought back fiercely, increasing their intensity after halftime, winning breakdown contests, and recovering possession.

This effort paid off with a powerful line break and a try that levelled the score. The tightly contested match ended in a hard-fought draw, with neither team able to break through in the final minutes.
