Gauteng junior star Anastacia Michel shines at 2025 national championship

Twice selected for the Gauteng junior team in 2025, Anastacia Michel demonstrated her skills by winning multiple tittles at the junior national held at the Wild Coast Sun

After being selected twice to be part of the Gauteng junior darts team for nationals in 2024 and 2025, Anastacia Michel has proven her prowess by securing top honours at the 2025 junior nationals at the Wild Coast Sun.

Although she already had national experience under her belt, nerves and excitement still ran high as she once again donned her provincial colours with pride.

Anastacia competed against 21 of the country’s top young female darts players. After two days of intense play, she topped the singles rankings, taking first place overall.

Her momentum did not stop there – she claimed gold in the girls’ pairs and the mixed pairs events, dropping only four legs out of 20 games in the latter.

“This year felt more special. I saw old friends, made new ones, and enjoyed every moment on the board,” she said.
Capping off the week, the Gauteng junior team swept the tournament, winning every category, including boys’ and girls’ singles, pairs events, and the overall team performance.

Next on her journey is the prestigious WDF World Cup, in South Korea, this September, where she will represent South Africa on the global stage.
