WATCH: Alberton Boxing Club hosted a successful fight tournament

The packed tournament was held at the Club’s Second Avenue and Helston Street gym, in Florentia, Alberton.

The Alberton Boxing Club hosted a successful fight event on Saturday, August 30. The packed event was held at the Club’s Second Avenue and Helston Street gym in Florentia, Alberton.

Fighters representing the club were Karien Els, Emmanuel Ntamo, Tiffany Lereece Potter, and Ntando Mguni.

Family members of the fighters, boxing enthusiasts, and fans all gathered in the stands to show support for the fighters.

The coaching staff sat ringside while boxers sparred with each other. Residents in and around the Alberton area are encouraged to sign their children up.

The club trains boys and girls, as well as adult males and females. The call is aimed at developing interest in the sport and encouraging Alberton residents, particularly youth, to join the club to develop boxing skills while focusing on their education and becoming positive role models in society.
