WATCH: Alberton Boxing Club honours its fighters over great performance in 2025
The boxers were awarded for best sportsmanship, boxer of the year, most promising boxer, among other top honours.
The Alberton Boxing Club held an awards ceremony for its fighters on November 22.
The ceremony, hosted at the club’s Barry Vorster Hall on Second Avenue in Florentia, Alberton, saw players and supporters excited about the honours.
Commenting on how the year went for the club, coach Johan Fritz said: “We had a good and very busy year. Some of our boxers competed in the national championships, with some going through to the finals. We are very proud of them. As the year is coming to an end, we want to wish them all well and hope they will have a pleasant festive season.”
Asked about some of the club’s plans for 2026, coach Fritz added, “Next year we plan to push harder and become stronger. We want the club and its fighters to win more medals and trophies.
