Marais Viljoen hosts thrilling hockey events for young stars
Primary school hockey talent was on full display.
Marais Viljoen recently played host to two thrilling primary school hockey events.
The Primary School Super Series, held on July 26, featured outstanding hockey from teams representing President Steyn, Louw Geldenhuys, and Primary School Horison.
The event was filled with energy, fun, and sportsmanship, showcasing the talent of young players in the area.
In a separate friendly match series, Randhart Primary School and Dalmondeor Primary School faced off, displaying skillful hockey and great enthusiasm for the sport.
The girls from both schools were thrilled to play on Marais Viljoen’s new blue astro turf pitch.
Dr Johlet Krause, principal of Marais Viljoen, expressed the school’s pride in supporting youth hockey.
“As a school, we are delighted to help grow youth hockey and provide sport facilities for these events,” said Dr Krause.
The events highlighted the growing talent in primary school hockey and offered a valuable platform for young players to showcase their skills.
The final playoffs, scheduled for August, are eagerly anticipated, with all teams aiming for top honours.
