The fields at Southern Stars Baseball Club in Alberton were buzzing with energy as players, families, and supporters gathered for an action-packed and fun-filled club day celebrating community spirit, friendly rivalry, and local sport.

The day kicked off with an exciting friendly match between the club’s senior reserve teams, Sigma and Southern, setting a competitive yet high-spirited tone for the rest of the event.

The action reached a memorable highlight with a thrilling exhibition match-up that saw the club’s ladies team, featuring plenty of proud moms and aunties, go head-to-head against their own kids in the U15 juniors side, bolstered by a few speedy U12 players stepping up to the plate.

The atmosphere on the sidelines was electric, with plenty of fun and friendly bets throughout the day on which team would ultimately take home bragging rights. While all the teams gave it their absolute all, the matches showcased brilliant determination and camaraderie.

Club leadership extended a massive thank you to the dedicated volunteers working behind the scenes and to the family, friends, and community members who turned out in full force to support from the sidelines.

Given the incredible success of the event and the sheer enjoyment everyone had, the club confirmed that they look forward to hosting it again in the future.
