12 fighters bag 17 medals for Alberton club in Pretoria
Alberton's Cobras Shotokan Karate Club brought home seven gold, six silver and four bronze medals from the Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan All Styles Karate Tournament in Pretoria, beating out competitors from clubs across Gauteng.

The Cobras Shotokan Karate Club from Alberton impressed at the Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan All Styles Karate Tournament in Pretoria on August 15.
Competing against clubs from across Gauteng in a tough field, the 12 local competitors returned with seven gold, six silver and four bronze medals.
Ghaston-Bellegarde said they could not be prouder of the results, which reflect hard work and dedication from students of all ages and grades.

The Cobras Shotokan Karate Club trains every Monday and Wednesday evening at Ascot Mews, 19 Heidelberg Avenue, Newmarket, Alberton. Beginner classes run from 17:30 to 18:30 and advanced classes from 18:30 to 19:30.
