Woman allegedly assaults husband in Alexandra

ALEXANDRA – Man and nephews berated and allegedly assaulted by wife while eating.

A woman who allegedly assaulted her husband and his nephews is under investigation by Alex police.

Spokesperson for Alexandra Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the incident, which occurred at 6.15pm on 12 July at their 11th Avenue residence, resulted in head injuries to the man and damage worth R200 to the house.

It is alleged that the husband prepared food for two nephews in the absence of his wife. When she arrived home and found the three eating, she insulted the nephews, prompting the husband to intervene.

Seemingly infuriated, she allegedly took a brick and smashed some windows and a door of the house before hitting and injuring his head with the brick.

No arrests have been made as yet.
