Through the theme, Take action, inspire and make everyday a Mandela day, the blood service, Cancer Association of South Africa and Melrose Arch business precinct are asking Johannesburg residents to donate to its blood bank on 18 July at Stanlib on Melrose Boulevard, Melrose Arch between 9am and 4pm. The blood services needs to collect 3 000 units of blood daily to maintain the demand for this precious life-saving resource. Eligible donors should be between the ages of 16-65, weigh more than 50kg, lead a sexually safe lifestyle and should have had a good meal before donating.
