An Alex woman laid an assault charge against her boyfriend who was arrested for beating her and for fighting with police officers.
According to police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang, the incident occurred at the Alexandra Police Station at about 8.30pm on 5 September this year after police, responding to a domestic complaint, took the suspect and the 23-year-old victim to the station to solve their problem.
The suspect was said to have chased the victim out of their house and refused to hand over their four-month-old baby.
At the station, the boyfriend swore at and hit her, and threatened to kill the victim in front of the police. When the police intervened, the suspect turned on them, resulting in his arrest.
