‘Cassanova’ tastes lover’s fury

ALEXANDRA – Furious woman breaks in and trashes lover's place.

A woman is under investigation for the alleged malicious damage to the property of her boyfriend, who she accused of being a Casanova.

The incident occurred at noon on 7 February at the victim’s 16th Avenue home. Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Allie Kodisang said the suspect, allegedly in a fit of rage prompted by the victim’s alleged philandering, broke the door of his room, poured water and foodstuff on his bed, removed some of his clothes, dumped a duvet in a drain and destroyed an iron.

The two had earlier parted ways after a fracas, with the suspect going to her place and the victim going to the Pan Africa Mall. Upon his return, a friend informed him that the suspect had returned and asked him to open the victim’s room for her to collect her purse. When he refused, that’s when she allegedly broke the door with a brick, entered the room and caused the damage estimated to be R4 000.
