Man robbed of asylum papers

ALEXANDRA – Victim loses asylum papers and cash to armed robbers.

A victim was allegedly robbed of his asylum documents, wallet and R600 in cash by two men.

Alex Police Station’s spokesperson, Lieutenant Allie Kodisang said the incident occurred at about 10pm on 25 February on the corner of Vincent Tshabalala Road and 8th Avenue.

The suspects allegedly approached the victim from behind as he was walking home.

They then allegedly pushed him against a shack at gunpoint and robbed him of his cash, wallet and asylum documents before running away.

The police are urging anyone with information which may lead to the arrest of the suspects to come forward.
