Three years’ imprisonment for robber

ALEXANDRA – Kyalami phone station robber sentenced to three years.

 

A man who was part of a robbery gang was sentenced by Alexandra Magistrates’ Court to three years’ imprisonment for causing infrastructure damage with the intent to steal.

The incident occurred at a Vodacom transponder station at a church in Kyalami where the suspect, along with his three accomplices, fled from the police in a bakkie.

Privilege Ndou admitted to the charge before Magistrate Renier Boshoff on 24 October.

Police responded to the alarm and apprehended him while he was hiding in the next property.

Ndou claimed not to know the names and home addresses of the accomplices except that they were from Diepsloot. Details: 10111.
