Police officers of Alex Police Station potentially prevented a robbery when they found a man in possession of a toy gun, balaclava and okapi knife.
Klainboy Daka (34) was found guilty in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court for the possession of the toy gun. He was stopped while carrying a bag with the items by patrolling officers in East Bank at about 2am on 30 November.
He pleaded guilty before Magistrate Renier Boshoff assisted by State Prosecutor Lufuno Maphiri to the possession of the gun and was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment in addition to eight years which was wholly suspended for five years.
