JMPD warns public of a fake advert
JOBURG – According to the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD), there are currently no vacancies in the academy.
The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) has alerted the public of a fake advert on social media.
The false advertisement offers jobs to the youth, however, these positions do not exist in the department.
“The JMPD Academy is currently training a group of young recruits. There are no other vacancies in the JMPD Academy,” said JMPD spokesperson Wayne Minnaar in a statement on 23 November.

“JMPD wants to warn the individuals behind this fake advert that, should they get caught, they will be arrested and will be charged for fraud,” Minnaar concluded.
