Water outage affects Alexandra and surroundings

ALEXANDRA – According to Joburg Water, the water outage affecting Alexandra, Kew and Lombardy was caused by a faulty valve that needs to be replaced.


Joburg Water has released a statement regarding a water outage affecting Alexandra, Kew and Lombardy.

The water outage started on 1 May and was caused by a faulty valve at the Ranjieslaagte Reservoir according to Joburg Water.

Joburg Water has alerted residents that Rand Water will be isolating the water supply at the depot as the 600mm valve needs to be replaced. They are currently busy with repairs.

Affected residents took to social media to express their frustration regarding the situation.
