Izwi Labantu Forum treat Alex elderly to an outing to the Joburg Zoo

On October 21, the Izwi Labantu Forum recently hosted 12 elderly residents of Alexandra at the Johannesburg Zoo for a day that will linger for a long time in their minds.
Forum public relations officer Natasha Moropane said the heart-warming initiative by Joburg City Parks and Zoo offered free entrance to pensioners annually, fostering community spirit and providing a memorable experience for the senior citizens.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to Motus Toyota in Bryanston for their generous sponsorship of providing a kombi to transport the pensioners to and from the zoo. Woolworths South Africa catered for the event, ensuring our guests enjoyed delicious meals on the day. for that, we’re forever grateful too,” Moropane said.
She said the partnerships were a testament to the power of collaboration in uplifting disadvantaged communities, instilling hope, and promoting togetherness. “We look forward to continuing such initiatives in the future,” she added.
