Vossies’ Olwan Ndabana was the standout player, scoring a brace, while Reabetswe Motsaathebe and Piwokuhle Khumalo contributed one goal each. This decisive victory positioned Vossies comfortably in the top eight, which is notably impressive for their debut season in the league.

From the start, Vossies controlled the match with superior possession. Kabelo Magale made the first impact, registering a shot on target, followed by Tinyiko Nkosi’s effort, which was saved by Ma-Africa goalkeeper Andani Rambau. Ma-Africa struggled defensively, with Magale continuing to threaten the goal.
As the home team, coach Lucky Zuma’s boys needed to respond. Fhulufhedzani Mukatuni created a chance but his shot was saved by Vossies goalkeeper Simphiwe Mcetywa, resulting in a corner.
Despite their best efforts, Ma-Africa could not gain momentum while Vossies kept the pressure on. Ndabana narrowly missed a chance, and Magale shot wide before Oratile Molekwa’s header went over the bar.
Ma-Africa had a significant opportunity when Thapelo Mofokeng found himself one-on-one with Mcetywa but the keeper made a crucial save. Ndabana remained a constant threat, while Ma-Africa’s Baldwin Nemalele missed a chance to score before halftime.

In the second half, Vossies maintained their pressure. Motsaathebe’s shot was saved, and Masiakwala’s header went straight to Rambau, followed by another shot from Ndabana that sailed over the bar.
Ndabana eventually broke the deadlock with a well-executed free kick after a foul by Ma-Africa’s Murangi Bebeda.
Desperate for an equaliser, Ma-Africa pushed forward but Tumisho Matsemela’s shot went over the crossbar. Vossies continued to create opportunities, with Magale shooting wide again. They made strategic substitutions, bringing in Khumalo and Zwelihle Kwela, while Ma-Africa substituted Lebogang Madisha for Malose Putuka.

Substitute Khumalo quickly impacted the game, scoring the second goal for Vossies after dribbling past Rambau. The floodgates opened as Motsaathebe scored again with a low shot, and Ndabana capped his impressive performance with his second goal around the 80th minute. Khumalo missed a clear opportunity to extend the scoreline further.
