Alex music sensation ‘Sayza’ is coming to your school
Sayza's Ama Gomora Album Schools Tour is coming soon to all primary schools in Alexandra and will be accompanied by presents for the learners.
Ikgantsheng Ka Setso, a company founded during the Covid-19 pandemic and works with children in the field of acting and dancing in Alexandra’s Ext 7, will spearhead a tour of Alex primary schools from February 10 to March 4.#
The Ama Gomora Album Schools Tour is the brainchild of one of the rising sons of music in the township, Kgotlello Simon Machoga, who is better known in the music circles as ‘Sayza’, simultaneously include a project to donate school essentials such as shoes, uniforms, stationery and sanitary pads.
The tour will also have awareness programmes around issues of drug and alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancy, and other social ills that children tend to fall victim to in their everyday lives, Sayza told Alex News.
Sayza said he and three directors of the company then decided to officially register it last year. “The project aimed to get them busy as they were merely out of school by attending a few days a week. We took advantage of our spare time and created opportunities as we also organised local competitions with other local dance and singing groups and organisations,” Sayza said.
Since that attachment with the children, Sayza said Ikgantsheng Ka Setso looks forward to growing with children who have been working with the organisation and recruiting more now and into the future.
