EugeniousSA takes Life of a Struggle to Sandtonview School
Eugenious SA shares his musical message Life of a Struggle with Sandtonview School learners to inspire them to overcome challenges.
With a mission to motivate and empower young minds, an up-and-coming hip hop artist from Alexandra Eugen Selemela, famously known as ‘EugeniousSA’ in the music industry, took his musical tour to Sandtonview School.
The purpose of his visit was to share and market his upcoming album Life of a Struggle which is more than just a collection of songs but a manifesto aimed at empowering and motivating the youth.
As he stood before the crowd of eager learners, EugeniousSA explained the inspiration behind the album and why he felt it was important to share his experiences.

“I grew up in Alexandra township and I know the challenges that young people face. I want to use my music as a way to inspire and motivate others to keep pushing forward no matter what life throws at them.”
He also talked about the importance of education and self-empowerment.
“Knowledge is a very powerful tool that will never be taken away from you and it will open doors that you never thought were possible. I want you to know that you have the power to create your destiny, and it starts with believing in yourself and pursuing your dreams,” he said.

There were stakeholders from Sanca, No Excuse, Johannesburg Community Safety, Firefighters, Adrei might warriors, Mr and Miss Heritage and Mabaso Foundation.
Wiseman Mabaso from the Mabaso Foundation who was imprisoned for 30 years urged the learners to not commit crimes but to focus on their books.
“The most common crime which happens at schools is bullying, the abuse of drugs and those who carry weapons to school, so please stay away from those things.

Learners, please focus on your books, respect your teachers and parents and make sure that you participate in sports because that will take you away from wrongdoings and bad friends,” Mabaso said.
As the event came to an end, Eugenious left learners with one final piece of advice; “Don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot achieve your dreams.
“You have the power to make a name for yourself and it starts with believing in you. Don’t be afraid to take risks, to ask for help and to keep pushing forward remember your future is in your hands.”
The learners of Sandtonview School were captivated by Eugenious’s message finding solace and motivation in his words and music.
