Police members have been instructed to enforce the law without fear or favour, with necessary action to be taken against any violations.

The SAPS has also called on organisers of marches to discourage participants from carrying weapons or engaging in conduct that could provoke violence or place others at risk.

The objective is to ensure that every gathering remains peaceful and that everyone returns home safely.
