More than 20 talented players from the greater eMalahleni region joined the Linksfield-based Black Aces Academy for an intense three day coaching clinic held by the Manchester City School of Football.

The academy has a number of players from nearby Alexandra. Aces legend Dumi Ngobe was asked to select 26 talented U15 and U17 footballers from various schools within their area to take part in these clinics. Most of these boys have never had such an opportunity and the excitement was visible.

Each boy received a certificate of attendance, a Manchester City Football Club kit and met Black Aces first team coach Clive Barker.

Mario Morfou, Mpumalanga Black Aces co-chairman and CEO said, “It’s important for Black Aces to develop grassroot level football in our areas, especially if we want to climb to be the number one team in the country. We have taken so much out of our partnership with Manchester City Football Club and hope to grow this beautiful game.”
