Referee cost us the game – Godisanang coach

ALEXANDRA - FC Godisanang coach Abby Moffomme has blamed what he called 'dubious referee decisions' for his team's away draw to MD Spartans on 19 April.

FC Godisanang coach Abby Moffomme, blamed what he called ‘dubious referee decisions’, for his team’s away draw to MD Spartans on 19 April.

The SAB League game was played at the Congo Grounds in Dobsonville, opposite the Dobsonville Stadium which is home to premiership side Moroka Swallow.

“We could have easily won the game, had it not been for the dubious referring decision we witnessed on the day. It was like the referee was determined to see MD Spartans win the game. But an away nil-nil draw for us, was a better game anywhere. Each time we play Spartans these sort of things always happen with referees,” Mofomme said.

Godisanang came to this game inspired by a previous 2-0 win at home, against an Orange Farm outfit, Orange Stars. Godisanang captain Donald Somo, led from the front and scored the brace to hand his team three vital points in the SAB League.

Mofomme said the team’s next game at home at Three Square Grounds, will be against an Eldos side, Manats FC on 26 April at 3pm. “This will be a home game which we must win at all costs, if the refereeing is up to standard,” he added.
