The Premier Soccer League and sponsors, Telkom, have encouraged fans to come in their numbers for this spectacle of football. The league said there will be much more than fantastic football action on display on the day.
In the finals of the Telkom Knockout 2014 there will be SuperSport United up against defending champions Platinum Stars. Kick-off for what is expected to be this season’s mouth-watering Telkom Knockout final is scheduled for 3pm.
Orlando Stadium will be a great day out for all the family, with exciting games, musical entertainment and two of the league’s most attractive football sides contesting the country’s premier knockout competition final.
There will be fun for all the family with great activities for the kids and lots of prizes to be won, the league said, urging football lovers to make their way to the stadium where the kids can have fun, play bubble football, have their faces painted and try to be the best in a penalty shoot-out competition.
But it’s not just the kids who will be having fun, there will be plenty of entertainment for moms and dads as well, who will be entertained by latest Idols winner Vincent Bones, including top performers such as HHP, PRO, Chomee and Glen Lewis, all of whom will create an electric atmosphere with a beer garden and shisa nyama.
The first fans through the gates on match day will each receive a Telkom Knockout hat, but there are also some fantastic prizes to be won in the halftime competition when lucky fans stand a chance to win DStv walkas, exploras and a smartphone with a Telkom starter pack and airtime voucher.
Telkom will also be giving away internet starter packs that contain 200 megabytes of data for 12 months, which will be loaded with additional data or airtime upon arrival. “We have a world-class venue and two fantastic teams, so why not make the 2014 Telkom Knockout final a festival of football,” said Nakedi Chiloane of Telkom.
