Boo boy Nkatha says goodbye

JOBURG - The Boo boy of Kaizer Chiefs fans, Kingston Nkatha will bid goodbye to those tormenting fans as he is soon set to turnout for SuperSport United after signing a pre-contract with Matsatsantsa A Pitori.

Kaizer Chiefs fans will have to find someone else to taunt now that Kingston Nkatha has signed for SuperSport United.

Nkatha (29) was consistently booed off the pitch by Chiefs fans who felt he was not scoring enough goals. Chiefs’ coach, Stuart Baxter believed in Nkatha’s abilities and had warned that if the booing continued the striker would consider leaving the club.

Now Nkatha has made the decision to quit and his contract with the Glamour Boys comes to an end on 30 June and as of 1 July he will be a United player.

United’s media spokesperson Koketso Gaofetoge said they were happy to have secured the services of the Zimbabwean and believed he had a knack for scoring goals. “It’s not everyday or time that a player can bury all the chances created, but Nkatha has shown determination in the colours of Chiefs,” he said.

Nkatha joins the Matsatsantsa strike force of Bradley Grobler, Dove Wome and celebrated Bafana Bafana striker Thuso Phala. Nkhatha first arrived in South Africa in 2007, joining Free State Stars before going on to play for Black Leopards and then Kaizer Chiefs, and has nine caps for Zimbabwe.
