Dutch coaches to train Alex counterparts
ALEXANDRA - More than 30 coaches from various clubs in Alexandra and those from the local schools will attend a five-day coaching course to be conducted by the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB).
More than 30 coaches from various football clubs in Alexandra and those from local schools will attend a five-day coaching course to be conducted by the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB).
The full day course begins on 6 July and will run until 10 July with 20 participants from local clubs and 12 pupils from schools in Alexandra joining in on the educational action. All participants will be issued with certificate on completion of the course.
Among the attendees of the course at the Alexandra Stadium will be the new technical director of Alex football, Tsietsi ‘Tsivo’ Letsoela, and his assistant, Eric Paul, a teacher from Alex High School.
Secretary general of the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association, Mafika Morajane, described the course as a welcome boost for local club coaches and the technical staff of the association.
“We would like to convey our gratitude to the KNVB coaches for this course and look forward to its successful conclusion which I am quite confident will be of immense value to the development of Alex football,” he said.
