#ICYMI: Winnie’s funeral sinks the Chiefs game at FNB Stadium
JOBURG – Chiefs game against strugglers Platinum Stars has been postponed due to the funeral of the late Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
The funeral of the late struggle icon and Mother of the Nation, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in Fourways on 14 April has scuppered an Absa Premiership game between Soweto Glamour Boys Kaizer Chiefs and log tailenders Platinum Stars.

The tie was due to be held on the day at 3pm at the FNB Stadium which has been designated as a park-and-ride facility for funeral-goers of the late Sowetan struggle icon and former wife of the first president of a democratic South Africa, Nelson Mandela.
Premier Soccer League spokesperson Luxolo September said the tie had now been rescheduled for the following day, 15 April at the same time and same venue.

The league regretted this postponement and hoped the avid followers of the beautiful game would appreciate that it gave them the opportunity to bid farewell to the Mother of the Nation, September added.
