Kabelo Puleng, Realogile’s shot-stopper, had a remarkable game, making crucial saves to keep his team pumped up after Katlego Mampa scored his fourth goal of the tournament for Minerva to give them an early lead.

“I knew we were going to come back as we were dominating the ball position from the get-go,” said Puleng who was also awarded a ‘golden glove’ for his spectacular saves.

As the game unfolded, Realogile leveled the score through a set piece, courtesy of Malisa’s stunning long-range shot from the left flank.

The Minerva boys were awarded a penalty when Olwethu Ntloso was brought down inside the box, but Minerva missed the opportunity to take the lead again when Siyabonga Nlophe ballooned the ball above the goalposts from the spot.

Ntsimane was next on the scoresheet after crushing a rocket into the roof of the net from a similar angle and distance as their first goal to give Realogile a 2–1 lead at half-time.

Puleng made two wonderful saves after Mampas’ headers put him to the test. Puleng was later cautioned with a yellow card for time wasting, which he said was his method of frustrating the opponents.

Ntsimane put the cherry on the cake in the closing stages of the match with a lovely tight angle finish following an exchange of passes with Kabelo Seopa.
