LOC’s thank you for the good games

ALEXANDRA – We wish the matrics and all other grades good luck in their year-end exam, says Percy Ndaba.

The local organising committee of the Sibusiso Cosmos Zwane (SCZ) Schools Tournament has described the recent event as a resounding success despite the Covid-19 challenges.

Commitee head Percy Ndaba was grateful to the schools, teachers and the learners, including the young coaches and non-academic staff who pitched up at the grounds to add to the smooth running of the tournament.

“On behalf of the local organising committee, I have some amazing words of gratitude that I would like to extend to all who came to ensure the success of the tournament. It has been a difficult and challenging two years for everyone under the Covid-19 pandemic, but your unwavering support and appreciation of the role of the games in the development of our children does not go unnoticed.

“Just recently, we witnessed our learners being involved in demonic acts because of a sheer lack of sports and other extra-mural activities within our schools.

“Your efforts in giving up your time and space just to ensure that these learners are moulded, nurtured and shaped to become responsible adults and citizens of our country is appreciated. We look forward to seeing all of you next year in a much bigger and more exciting SCZ Schools Tournament,” Ndaba said.

He also took the opportunity to wish local matrics and those of participating schools outside the township, and all other grades good luck in their year-end exams.
