Smashing final to LMS
The 12-week Bedfordview Last Man Stands (LMS) league culminated in a smashing two-day event held at the Bedfordview Country Club.

A league winner was chosen for each division which was followed by a knockout challenge in which teams were drawn against each other in a set of sudden death games.
The winners in division one was JDK Invaders while Sometimes Good walked away as winners in division two.
In the division two knockout round, the Warriors was pitched against the Fool Tossers for the final.
The strength of the two sides ensured spectators were in for an exciting game.
The Fool Tossers posted a score of 137 runs in 20 overs but the Warriors was able to chase it down with balls to spare.
During the end of league prizegiving for division two, the Best Batsman award went to Subhasis from the RB Boyz while Vincent from Benson and Edges was awarded as the Best Bowler and Lance from Sometimes Good as the Best Wicket Keeper.
In division one the Cricket Gurus played the crowd favourite, Old School.
With R10 000 at stake for the winning team in the first division, teams played hard for the title.
Old School had no trouble reaching the finals while the Cricket Gurus had to fight hard to outplay four other sides in the knockout rounds.
Old School posted a formidable 147 runs in 20 overs and with a pace bowling attack by Gavin, Brett, Vaughan and Renato, they did not seem worried about losing the title.
However, they met their match in the batting line up of the Gurus when the Smit bothers, Nic and Matt took to the crease.
Both brothers scored 50 runs to set the Gurus up for the win.
Warren and Kyle followed and scored the winning runs to ensure the Cricket Gurus walked away with the R10 000 prize money and as division one champions.
At the end of league prizegiving for division two, the award for the Best Batsman went to Nic from the Cricket Gurus while the Undertakers’ Anthony took home the award for the Best Bowler.
Darren from the Bedfordview Daredevils was awarded as division one’s Best Wicket Keeper.
