Iran comes to Modderfontein

The former Bafana Bafana coach and former Manchester United assistant coach, will use this period to prepare 11 players for the coming world cup.

The Iranian national football team had a training session at the Modderfontein Sports Grounds on April 19.

The training session was part of the team’s preparations for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

Iran will face Mozambique in an international friendly match on May 7, which will also be part of the team’s preparations.Carlos Queiroz, who is currently Iran’s coach, arranged the training camp in South Africa. The camp is scheduled to last from April 15 to May 7.

Iran is in Group F of the Fifa World Cup, along with Argentina, Nigeria, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Iran, who are currently ranked 37th in the world, will play its first 2014 World Cup group match against Nigeria on June 16.
