Crime drops Cleveland SAPS precinct

Hard work by Cleveland SAPS police officers paid off as the station succeeded in decreasing crime levels.

During his address at the Cleveland Community Police Forum held earlier in July, Captain Peter Ramodisa, said there was a decrease in trio crimes.
We did well during June. House and business robberies, car hijackings and street robberies were some of the crimes which decreased. We managed to control crime in hotspot areas, he said.
Last month Colonel Bongani Dlamini, Cleveland SAPS station commander, said several arrests were made for crimes committed in the precinct. He said arrests were made for murders, rapes and robberies. A woman, who was the mastermind of a hijacking that took place last year, was also traced and arrested.
At the last CCPF meeting, Capt Ramodisa said police officers are patrolling the precinct regularly and continue to make arrests for crimes committed.
