Warrant Officer Richard Munyai, Jeppe SAPS communications officer, said four men approached a chef at Sharp Braai, a business at the corner of Kruger and Main streets, on May 12 at about 6.30pm.
They bought hot wings and when the chef went to the cash register to get their change, one of the men drew his firearm.
He pointed the firearm at the chef and demanded money.
A colleague who was washing dishes was approached by two of the men who told him to give them the money that was in the safe.
The men took cash and a cellular phone and fled the scene.
