Mother, daughter found murdered in Bruma townhouse

SAPS investigates double murder.

Two women, believed to be mother and daughter, were found dead at a townhouse in Bruma last night.

The women, aged 84 and 64, were found in the bathroom by a caretaker according to Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, Constable Mpho Mashakane.

The mother was handcuffed and the daughter’s hands were bound with rope. The handcuffs were believed to have been taken from the guard room. Const Mashakane said cotton wool was also found in the women’s mouths.

Nothing was taken from the premises and the motive is not known. Police are looking for the gardener who went missing. Some of his belongings were still at the townhouse.
