Fight for rhinos goes stylish

Many years of nature conservation throughout South Africa is coming undone.

This year alone, over 600 of South Africa’s rhinos have been poached.

The sad reality is soon the remaining rhinos will be back on the road to extinction but fortunately, there is still time and the ability to change this.

It is for this reason the SanWild Rhino Sanctuary has been established.

SanWild aims to change the dire state of the South African rhino population and will launch its efforts with a stylish black-tie event at Scarlet Ribbon in Stoneridge on October 2.

The launch event will introduce the sanctuary and the innovative work it is doing to conserve and protect the rhino, and at the same time give residents the opportunity to add their voices to the fight against rhino poaching.

The event promises to be an elegant affair to preserve a South African treasure.

The night will be filled with entertainment by renowned South African singer Louise Carver, popular performer Jason Hartman and a dynamic professional dance academy.

Tickets to the event are on sale to anyone with a passion for preserving South Africa’s unique wildlife heritage and are priced at R600 per person or R5 000 for a table of ten.

For more information, or ticket bookings, contact cpu@sanwild.org or call 012 559-4918 or 015 383-9959.
