The Jeppe SAPS arrested a 23-year-old man for a murder that took place on October 5 in Doornfontein.
Warrant Officer Richard Munyai, the Jeppe SAPS communications officer, said the police received a call about a body of a man lying at the corner of Shore and Angle streets in Doornfontein.
“When they arrived, they found the deceased had a stab wound on the neck. One of the people standing near the scene identified himself as a witness and gave information about the deceased. The deceased did not have a passport or identity document,” said W/O Munyai.
The witness took the police to Van Beek Street, where a suspect was arrested and charged with murder.
