Police arrest 10 for speeding on Terrace Road

Ten motorists were arrested on Friday for speeding on Terrace Road.

Head of detectives for the Edenvale SAPS, Lieutenant Colonel Ben Baloyi, said motorists were caught travelling at speeds ranging from 91 km/h to 117 km/h.

“All 10 motorists were taken to the Edenvale Police Station and were released on bail of R1 000. Those arrested were ordered to appear in the Edenvale Magistrate’s Court on Monday to face charges of reckless and negligent driving,” said Lt Col Baloyi.

He urged motorists to not exceed the speed limit in Edenvale.

“It is shocking that motorists continue to speed on Terrace Road,” he said.
