Fraudulent documents gets women arrested

Two women, aged 38 and 44, have been arrested for being in possession of fraudulent documents in Yeoville.

The incident occurred at an internet café in Rocky Street. “Officers received a tip-off about the two women who were creating fraudulent documents at an internet café. Police officers found two women creating pay slips and bank statements on the computer,” said Constable Thabo Malatji of the Yeoville SAPS.

The officers also found identity documents that had the same name as those on the pay slips and bank statements, but with the women’s photos.

“Further investigation revealed that the identity documents they had did not belong to them. The suspects were taken to the Yeoville SAPS,” said Const Malatji. The women are expected to appear at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
