Refuse removal calendars released
According to the EMM, the 2014/2015 refuse removal calendar for the Germiston area, as well as other areas in the metro which run on the March to February cycle, will be uploaded on www.ekurhuleni.gov.za in due course.
The municipality has released its refuse removal calendars for 2014.
Residents are asked to take note that Harmelia, Highway Gardens, Buurendal, Klopperpark, Meadowdale and Meadowbrook now fall under the Germiston Customer Care Area (CCA).
Those who downloaded refuse removal calendars from the municipality’s website will have noticed these areas were excluded from the original calendars.
“Residents north of Pretoria Road in Germiston are serviced by the Germiston CCA in terms of refuse removal,” the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality’s (EMM) department of communications and brand managements said.
According to the EMM, the 2014/2015 refuse removal calendar for the Germiston area, as well as other areas in the metro which run on the March to February cycle, will be uploaded on www.ekurhuleni.gov.za in due course.
The refuse calendars were distributed to all affected areas last week.
“The municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused by the exclusion of certain areas,” said the department.
